Why Aren’t You Picking Up The Phone?

For many years, Andrea, my daughter, battled various health complications arising from muscular dystrophy, which led to pain and unbearable symptoms that were a mystery to her physicians. Seeing her in such anguish with no answers, I turned to the internet and specific Facebook groups in search of finding answers.
Every day, I immersed myself into extensive online research determined not to stop until I uncovered the source of her pain and found a way to address it.
Once I had some knowledge, I would call her doctor and schedule an appointment to discuss this issue and to get better insight only to find out that the doctor is booked 6 or more weeks out so I would request getting put on the waiting list if there is a cancelation and we can get in sooner.
After hanging up, my frustration turns to hurts and sorrow knowing that Andrea will have to endure this pain for a little awhile longer.

We all yearn for an immediate remedy to halt our suffering instantly
Desiring the pain to cease at once.
However, is this approach genuinely the wisest?

In my personal spiritual journey with the Lord,
enduring pain was crucial and not subject to an immediate remedy.
Every day, I immersed myself into the word of God along with extensive online research determined not to stop until I uncovered the source of my pain and find a way to address it
just as I did try to find out the source of Andrea’s pain.

Coping with pain can indeed be a challenging journey, and it often requires patience and persistence. There was no expedited waiting list available for me.
That prolonged period of suffering was necessary for me to conduct further research and progressively acquire more knowledge. As my understanding deepened over time, the pain began to fade and eventually subsided.

Healing takes time and sometimes the answers lie in the distant horizon.
Pain can become a catalyst for growth.
It transforms into wisdom—the kind that can’t be acquired through ease alone.
The journey—pain to wisdom, healing to resilience—is well worth it
