Welcome Friends
Thank you for stopping by and joining me on a journey of personal growth and transformation.
Life can be challenging, and we all have our struggles and imperfections.
But together, by focusing on changing ourselves first, we can positively influence the world around us.
Let’s come together and strive to become a better version of ourselves
I have often wondered, does God punish me for not understanding what I am doing wrong?
Is my unknown sin subject to punishment?
Before this question can be answered, we first we need to understand satan
John 10:10 states-“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy
satan’s job is to:
Attempt to steal our joy, peace and the truths of Gods word
Attempt to separate believers from the life that God offers
Attempt to ruin lives and relationships
If satan’s purpose here on earth is to steal, kill and destroy then it is notable to say
that one of his devious tactics to separate us from God is by twisting our thought into thinking
that our unknown sins are not important.
One of the biggest draw backs to this statement is-
satan does not want us to mature and draw closer to the Lord so why would the enemy want us to recognize our unknown sin?
What I can share is this:
Growth and maturation in our faith is hindered if we are unwilling to recognize our own hidden sins so we can change our ways, change our patterns, and change direction.
It sadly means –one less day lived for God and one more day wasted.
My encouragement for today is-
Find a buddy, Find a friend, Find someone who is willing help you recognize your sins.
Those things we might overlook or not be aware of in our daily lives.
By inviting someone into your life to encourage and challenge you, you can grow stronger in your faith.
Having someone who lovingly points out these areas can lead to greater self-awareness and spiritual growth.
So does God punish me for my unknown sin that i am not aware that is a sin?
When we consider the question of whether God punishes us for unknown sins we are not aware of, it’s important to remember God’s nature and His desires for us. God is loving and merciful, and He longs for us to seek a closer relationship with Him. He desires to bless us and guide us into a more intimate relationship, which leads to greater spiritual growth and awareness of our actions. Through this relationship, we become more attuned to the Holy Spirit, who helps us recognize and correct our unknown and unintentional sins
God’s ultimate goal is not to condemn, but to transform us, to change us, to bringing us into a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with Him.
We should embrace every opportunity for us to become closer to Him and to help us refine our character and help us grow spiritually
On my journey of spiritual growth,
I am asking the wrong question of– does God punish me for my unknown sin
The question I should be asking is- shouldn’t I desire for my unrecognized sins to emerge to the surface so i can change my pattern, change my direction, change my behavior and have more of a deeper relationship with God?
Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
In David’s prayer……
David is inviting God to thoroughly examine his whole heart
David asking God to try him and reveal any sin or wrongdoing within him.
David acknowledges that there may be aspects of his character or actions that he is not aware of or has overlooked.
David is open to discovering unpleasant truths about himself
David desires to follow God’s ways with his whole heart and live in accordance with His will.
Psalm 19:12: “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.
David acknowledges human fallibility and the difficulty in recognizing one’s own errors.
David request to be cleansed from “secret faults”
David recognizes that acknowledging and addressing hidden sins is important for spiritual maturity
join me today and lets tear down the walls of deception that surrounds us.
Let’s remember that satan thrives on our ignorance. He seeks to deceive us into believing that our unknown sins are insignificant or non-existent.
I warmly invite you to join me on this journey of change and transformation. As I grow, I hope you will grow alongside me. Together, we can support and uplift each other.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a heart full of humility,
Ready to hold up my heart before you for you to examine
I pray for you to reveal any hidden sins of which I may be unaware of or have overlooked
that is hindering my spiritual growth.
Just like David, I am ready for You to reveal the pleasant truths about myself.
My heart is open and ready to embrace correction.
My heart is open to transformation that I can draw closer to You.
I deeply desire to follow Your ways with my whole heart and live in accordance with Your will.
Amen
join me today by changing ourselves to make a difference in the world around us
