Welcome Friends
What exactly is the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace on the Armor the God?
The Roman’s soldiers wore sandals with studded soles giving them a firm grip
on the ground and helping them stand strong during combat.
Why is this piece of armor important for Christians?
Stick around and let’s learn together, like many of you, I didn’t really know either
Ephesians 6:15 “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”
Shod means to put on your shoes
Preparation means readiness
We should be ready at all times as we never know when an opportunity will arise for us to share the
the peace and hope that we have in Christ with others who are trying to make sense of life
going through a difficult time, feeling feel lost or overwhelmed
Opportunities often come when we least expect them
1 peter 3:15 says
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
Someone once shared the gospel with us, and now it’s our turn to go and share that same life-changing message with the world.
There are countless ways to witness and it doesn’t have to be complicated
Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can offer is your own personal story
You don’t need fancy words to make an impact, just share what God has done in your life.
That alone can speak volumes
There are 2 kinds of gospel of peace that we need to understand
1. Peace I leave with you
2. My peace I give you
John 14:27 says-“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Peace I leave with you is more than a comforting phrase
It’s a powerful promise of a restored relationship with God, made possible through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
Because of our sin, we were separated from God, but Jesus took our place.
Through His crucifixion, He paid the price for our wrongs and tore down the wall that stood between us and our Creator.
It fills the emptiness that nothing else in this world can satisfy.
For those who follow Christ, this peace becomes the foundation we stand on.
It changes how we live and how we love.
it’s far too powerful, too life-giving, to keep to ourselves
Just as Roman soldiers stood firm in rugged sandals, we stand strong in Christ, ready to share His peace with a world
Now that we understand-peace I leave you
Now let’s take a look at my peace I give you
This kind of peace isn’t the surface-level like what the world offers
He offers a peace that reaches into the very center of your soul.
It’s the peace and assurance of knowing that when life gets tough
that you’re never alone, that God is with you
We all wrestle with emotions like fear, anger, worry, depression and anxiety.
These can feel like chains, keeping us stuck. But Jesus offers freedom from those cycles.
Start by being honest with God.
Tell Him what’s weighing you down—your fears, your doubts, your pain.
Trust and have faith that God listening and working behind the scenes, even when you don’t see it yet
Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Life is hard -struggles are real-the enemy is out there
John 10:10 says- “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy
Satan attacks us in so many ways and Christians tend to forget that God has given us armor
or like in my case, I didn’t know about.
Satan did a lot of damage in my life, as I left myself vulnerable and unprotected.
My heart and mind were not protected properly which allowed the enemy to creep in
John 10:10 also says- “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
I’m so thankful I began truly seeking a deeper relationship with God.
We can’t live life well if we don’t know how to live it
So how do we “do life”?
It begins with putting on the Belt of Truth—grounding ourselves in what God says.
That means opening the Bible, digging into His Word, and using tools like trusted websites, videos, and teachings to understand it better.
with the Belt of Truth in place
we next put on the Shield of Righteousness—intentionally choosing to live in a way that honors God
Then, we plant our feet firmly in the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace, ready to share the gospel and
stand firm in God’s peace when life shakes you
Romans 10:15 says How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!
Coming next
Shield of Faith
Deflects attacks. Trusting God helps you block the lies, doubts, and fears the enemy throws at you
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the armor You’ve given us to guard against Satan and all his schemes.
Help us to remember each day to put it on—to protect our hearts, our minds, and our walk with You.
We trust in Your strength, not our own.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I invite you to join me on this journey
Let’s allow God to transform our hearts.
True change starts from within, and when He changes us, we can better impact the world around us
