Interactive Lesson # 50-my boasting rights

Welcome Friends,
Today is Boasting Day !

Romans 15:18- “in Jesus Christ I have found a reason for boasting in things pertaining to God”

This kind of pride glorifies God— being proud of having Him and Jesus in my life
not the kind of pride that focuses on myself or my own accomplishments

Our Divine Design – My Life Matters, and So Does Yours
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God takes everything about us
our personality, spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, family, our struggles,
and every experience we’ve been through
He then weaves it all together into a divine design
so that you are now able to do God’s work in a way that no one else can
Nothing in your life is ever wasted in God’s hands

Back then, I never really thought about how the events in my life could be leading somewhere.
How God was guiding me or preparing me.
But over these past couple of years, as I’ve gotten to know God more deeply
and understood myself better, I can look back now and see it clearly.
Wow—I never saw it coming
but He was shaping me all along, preparing me for something He could use for His glory

Raising my autistic grandson has taught me patience and reminded me to slow down in life.
Through his life, He was building character in me

Caring for my adult daughter challenged me in every way
Now I can now see how God was at work, shaping me through it all.
It wasn’t until she passed away that I realized how often I had worried and stress over her safety
when all along I should have trusted God to keep her safe
Through her life, He was building character in me

During the difficult season of my daughter being on hospice, along with other struggles I was facing
God used it to draw me closer to my son Joe.
We have been spending good quality time together, our conversations often led to the Lord,
what He is doing in our lives, the paths He is leading us on, the deep questions,
searching scripture for deeper answers,
also showing me though his life that drama is not acceptable.
The more I lift my eyes toward the Lord, the less I desire the drama of this world,
and seeing it has no place in my heart.
Through him, I’ve learned how important it is to encourage and strengthen one another
and in our journey
God has been shaping my character even more.

My husband quietly listening to me
Hearing about my struggles, seeing my tears, listening as I share what God’s Word is teaching me,
and how God is changing my behavior, and even my tears of joy along the way
My husband has been such a blessing.
Through him, God is shaping my character and teaching me the value of listening quietly

Let me boast only in the Lord
He is the one who has done immeasurably more than I could ever do on my own.
He has shaped me and strengthened me not because of anything I’ve done
but because of what He has done in me
all I want to do is thank God and give Him all the glory

The Christian life is simple
Seek the Holy Spirit, follow His guidance, and trust His leading.
When you do, He will guide you, strengthen you, and help you thrive in every area of life

I can’t imagine my life without Jesus
or the bible, prayer, Christian relationships, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit
Trying to fix my own problems, heal my own hurts, carry my own burdens, answer all my own questions, and guide my own steps

There is a God
He is good, He loves you, and He is ready to forgive you.
If you are broken, He wants to heal you. If you carry a burden, He wants to lift it.
If you have questions, He wants to answer them.
His name is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit wants to anoint your life
so that you can live in the power, joy, and peace that only the Kingdom of God provides

I pray for all who don’t know Jesus yet–that they will come to know Him.
I pray for those who haven’t been saved yet–that they will experience His salvation.
I pray for those who haven’t been delivered yet–that freedom is on the way.
In Jesus’ name, Amen

True change starts from within
Let’s open our hearts and allow God to shape us
so we can better impact the world around us
