Interactive Lesson #32- but this wasn’t my plan

Welcome Friends
This week has been filled with incredible, refreshing revelations that I’m so excited to share with you.
I pray we can come together with open hearts, encouraging and inspiring one another
as we receive new lessons the Lord is showing us.

I’ve always dreamed of being a mother, and God has blessed me with four amazing children.
But as the years passed and they were getting older, I found myself longing for a little “me time.”
I started imagining the day they’d all move out, leaving me with a quiet home….
ahhhhh-the empty nester life.

As time drew closer, I realized it would take a little longer than expected — no problem, I could wait.
But life had an unexpected twist waiting for me.
My daughter Andrea was pregnant.
I cried and cried, knowing deep down that I would be the one raising her child as she could
barely take care of herself.
The vision I had of becoming an empty nester faded away, replaced by a new, unplanned chapter
one I never saw coming.

James 4:14-“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow?
Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”

This lesson was a powerful eye-opener for me. The Lord is always faithful to His word.
The more I seek Him, the more He reveals. His word comes alive, speaking to me.
The bible is a living breathing guide and not just words on a page.
It’s God’s voice, shaping my heart, transforming me, forming a closer more
intimate relationship with Him

James 4:13-17
James speaks to businessmen who confidently plan their futures,
Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.
The businessmen believe they are in control of their plans, where they go and how long
James doesn’t discourage planning but encourages believers to seek God’s guidance first
Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
This passage serves as a reminder to let go of self-reliance and embrace humility,
acknowledging that our plans and lives are ultimately in God’s hands.

Life is like the morning fog, here today and gone tomorrow
Don’t get so wrapped up in our own plans
We don’t know anything about the future, we just know about right here and right now
When we start making our own plans and ideas of what we want to do, we can shut God out accidently
We need to leave room for God in our plans.
We need to shift the focus to- God willing

Proverbs 16:9-“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”
while it’s wise to plan, we should remain open to God’s guidance as His will ultimately shapes the outcome.

The moment I first laid eyes on my grandson, any thoughts of becoming an empty nester faded away, replaced by a heart overflowing with love.
Two years later, I gave Andrea my blessings to get married and I would be happy to raise her son
so she can learn independence and care for herself.
I never hesitated about my decision as it came from a place of pure, unselfish love.

Proverbs 19:21-“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
This is a reminder to surrender our plans to God and trust His greater purpose.

Looking back, I realize I had no reason to cry
God was simply rearranging MY plans for something greater.
He placed a beautiful grandson in my life, not by accident, but for a purpose.
My life has changed, for the better, in more ways than I can even count,
I now see and understand how God works beautifully behind the scenes.

When making plans, invite the Lord into them and leave space for His divine direction
When we invite Him into our plans, He shapes them into something far greater than we could imagine.
His path may look different from what we envisioned, but His ways are always greater and filled with purpose.
So, hold your plans loosely and trust Him fully because the best plan is the one written by the One who knows your future

Heaven Father,
My heart overflows with gratitude. Words can’t fully express how thankful I am.
Thank You for Your countless interventions, guiding me even when I didn’t realize it.
Your love never fails, and Your plans are always for my good, even when I don’t understand them
Your plans are filled with hope and purpose,
Please help me to surrender every part of my life to You,
trusting that Your way leads to something more beautiful than I could ever imagine
in Jesus’ name I pray
Amen

I invite you to join me on this journey
Let’s allow God to transform our hearts.
True change starts from within, and when He changes us, we can better impact the world around us
