How can a biblical story of a man looking for his lost donkeys affect my life so profoundly?
A story of how God prepared Saul for his kingship though
preparations, creating a challenge in his life, going though a process to test his character, placing people in his path
Saul is unaware of God’s plan for his life
God is at work all around us and we might also not be aware to what God is doing in our own lives
God is already at work laying a path for your life and we have no idea what it is
This story taught me valuable insights for my own journey of the unexpected changes in my life.
How God had been preparing me
How God allowed problems in my own life
How God has tested me though the process of trials
How God gave me the resources that I needed
How God placed people in my path
When we face difficulties in life, we should avoid complaining and whining
When life presents challenges, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed or disheartened
Even through heartbreaking situations… trusting that God has a greater purpose at play
As I reflect on the last 3 years of my life, I have endured the loss of my dad, grandson and daughter
as well as family conflicts and family division along with many trials and challenges
I have gained insights and continue to gain knowledge on:
1. Embracing a life guided by God rather than being self-directed
2. Obedience and practicing patience
3. Recognizing God’s timing in opening and closing doors
4. Navigating God’s tests through challenges, such as watching my words, and realizing the negative consequences of neglecting these lessons
5. Navigating God’s tests through challenges and staying obedient and faithful to his word to strengthen my character as he shapes me and prepares me for other difficulties that may come
My story is far from over
Even though the future is unknown to me
it’s not about me trying to figure it out but about surrendering to God’s guidance.
The difficulties in this journey serve as opportunities for growth, and in trusting His wisdom
It can be a difficult journey but understanding that each challenge is a stepping stone to a greater purpose.
I trust that God has a better plan for me than I do
