Welcome Friends
Now that we have went through every piece of the Armor of God
Now it is time to take a look at how this is all held together
……….. By Prayer
Ephesians 6:18
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people
Prayer is the invisible bond that holds the armor together.
Just as a soldier would never go into battle without securing every piece of his gear
Prayer must be our foundation before we ever step onto the battlefield
Prayer keeps us alert, It keeps us watchful
It keeps us connected to God’s strength, not our own
Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak
Satan is fully aware of our weaknesses, our struggles, and our challenges
and that’s exactly where he strikes
-our spirit within us wants to do good but our flesh is weak-
Te enemy targets the piece of armor that isn’t fastened securely
As followers of Christ, we can expect to face attacks.
That’s why we must firmly fasten the Belt of Truth – the Word of God – around our lives
allowing it to challenge us, strengthen us, and transform us
How does prayer work with each piece of God’s armor
Belt of Truth:
Pray…… for wisdom, it helps us to recognize truth and reject the lies of Satan
Satan is the master deceiver who works to confuse and mislead people
Without a strong understanding of God’s Word, we become vulnerable
easily swayed, easily deceived and steers us in the wrong direction
Reading and understanding Scripture is a vital part of a Christian’s life
It helps us recognize deception and stay grounded in what is right
God’s truth is the foundation of a believer’s strength
We must be rooted in His Word…reading it, studying it, and live by it
Breastplate of Righteousness
Pray….asking God to help keep our motives pure and to live in a way that reflects His character
We must be mindful of what we allow to influence our minds and hearts
God no longer sees us as sinners, but as righteous through Christ
True righteousness is something we must intentionally put on daily
It’s not about being perfect
It’s about making deliberate choices, thoughtful decisions and God honoring choices
Walking in His ways, growing in His likeness, and never settling for spiritual stagnation
Shield of Faith
Pray.…asking God to strengthen our faith during trials
Faith doesn’t make our problems disappear
but when the pressures of everyday life weigh heavily
it helps us stay strong, calm, and close to God
Faith is to put our trust in Him—even when we can’t see the whole picture
Helmet of Salvation
Pray...asking God to protect our minds and thoughts from the enemy’s attacks
Pray…asking Him to remind us daily that we belong to Jesus Christ
Belonging to Jesus is a lifelong journey
It’s the ongoing work of God in our lives—shaping us through repentance
deepening our relationship with Him and making us spiritually stronger
As we allow God to transform us from the inside out
we must daily check our hearts and renew our minds
as the enemy will fire his darts, trying to distract us and pull us off course
Don’t slip back into old patterns—move forward with purpose
The helmet is vital to guard our minds against satan’s deceptions
Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Pray….asking God to guide your step
To help us stand firm in God’s peace when life shakes us and ready to share the gospel
We should be ready at all times as we never know when an opportunity will arise for us to share the
the peace and hope that we have in Christ with others who are trying to make sense of life
going through difficult times, feeling feel lost or overwhelmed
Opportunities often come when we least expect them
Share your testimony !!
Sword of the Spirit
Pray….asking God to help us during our spiritual battles
not just against people or tough circumstances
but also, against Satan’s lies and temptations
The Word of God is a powerful weapon
It’s not just meant to be read—it’s meant to be used.
We must take hold of the truths in Scripture and stand firm against the enemy.
As believers, we can sharpen one another’s understanding and encourage each other
in using God’s Word
It strengthens our ability to recognize truth, resist deception and to stand firm
I pray….. these lessons have inspired you as much as it has inspired me
Becoming a Christian is just the beginning—it’s the first step into a covenant relationship with God
But that relationship doesn’t stop there-we’re called to walk with the Lord daily
God has equipped us with spiritual armor to protect us in this physical world from unseen battles
As we grow in our walk
may we not only wear that armor but also seek to understand each piece deeply
As He strengthens, guides, and prepares us for every step ahead
On the days you’re strong, God will run with you
On the days you’re weak, He will walk beside you
And on the days you’re weary and worn out, He will carry you
That’s the beauty of a covenant relationship with God
We don’t walk for God—we walk with Him
We don’t work for God’s love—we work from Gods love
We serve and live from His love
