Interactive Lesson # 19-Go directly To Jail, Do Not Pass Go

Welcome Friends,
I’m so glad you’re here with me today.
The past couple of weeks have been quite challenging
When I find myself in tough seasons, I have learned that I need to
pause, pray, and ask God to open my eyes and heart
and ask these questions:
What are You trying to teach me
What area of my life do I need to improve
What are You wanting me to change
The sooner I understand these lessons and allow God to transform me,
the sooner I can move forward in peace

I know we all face struggles with the enemy, which is one of the reasons I write these journals.
Each of us has our own challenges, but when we come together,
we can support one another, learn, and grow stronger in the Lord as one

I had filed a bar grievance against a lawyer as I followed his advice
which led to a significant mistake on his part by not adhering to Idaho code.
Unfortunately, this mistake cost me my reputation and the loss of close relationships.
It has taken more than a year for the grievance to move forward
and now it’s reopening some painful wounds.
The things he mentioned in his grievance were deeply hurtful and very far from the truth.

“Joy to the world” (said with sarcasm)
I am smiling when I say that as this is what my daughter would say
when things were not going right in her life.. R.I.P. Andrea., just a silly memory of her
as she would say this phrase in a comical way.

Please don’t focus on the details of my story, but on the outcome.
Satan will use anyone, even someone who knows nothing about me,
to try to drive a wedge between me and God.
However, this very person became one of my greatest blessings,
and through it, I experienced victory over Satan

One of the greatest experiences in my walk with the Lord is the deeper I study His word,
and the more I grow in knowledge and maturity and becoming closer to the Lord,
through this growth, He revealed a stronghold that Satan had over me
-Defending My Reputation-

1 Peter 2:23
“When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats.
Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”

Jesus Himself endured false accusations without retaliation,
All throughout scripture, Jesus chose not to defend Himself, trusting God’s plan instead.
Christians are called to trust that God rather than resorting to self-defense.

God is the ultimate judge, not human opinions or judgments.

This short season has been incredibly challenging, stirring up many different emotions.
I don’t want to focus on my feeling as I want to give all the glory to the Lord.
My life is not about me, it’s about Him.
Through this trial, God is building endurance in me.
No, it’s not easy, but it is necessary as part of our walk with the Lord.
If I want to be a light in the darkness, I need these trials to help me become aware and
overcome Satan’s stronghold over me.
These trials are not done in vain but to help strengthen me

So when I stay that this lawyer was a great blessing, he helped me to realize what a
stronghold satan had on my heart. My eyes became open, I don’t need to defend my reputation
As I laid down my defenses, I now live in the freedom of knowing that God is my defender and the judge of my heart.
My worth and identity are secure in Christ, not in the approval of others.
I am free from the need for validation by others.
I got my get out of jail for free card

Defending our reputation is often a stronghold of satan as seen by the examples set by Jesus
who never defended himself even up till His final breath on the cross.
Let’s not cling to the need to protect our own name, we are called to surrender to God, trusting Him to defend us.

Heaven Father,
My prayer for today is- to be Your voice and Your hands as I type
Thank you for allowing trials in my life
As I learn and grow, I hope to help others learn and grow as well
through spreading awareness.
Thank you for helping me release this heavy weight over my heart.
Help me to also be mindful of others around me so I can refrain
from judging their character as well so that they don’t fall into
the same stronghold of defending their character,
instead, pray for open and honest communication among us.
In Jesus’ name I pray
Amen

Come join me today as we first change ourselves to change the world
around us.
