Interactive Lesson #18-Wildfires Spread Fast

Welcome Dear Friends,
I am excited for another year of spending time with you.
Another year of maturing and growing together in the Lord.
I am exciting to share with you what I have been learning.
Let us open our hearts and let the holy spirit guide us.

Luke 6:47-48
“As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came,
the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”

For the first time in life, I have a strong foundation built on rock
It took time but I finally got to that place of true surrender
I humbled myself before God, I gave Him everything, where He wants to take me, I will go.
This is when God showed up in my life and started moving me.
This is when I became spiritual woken.
This is when I started experiencing true joy, true peace, true fulfillment.

2023 was a year of deep study of the Old Testament.
I’ve often heard people say that God’s wrath in the Old Testament seems
much harsher compared to the New Testament,
I agree. However, here’s my takeaway:
When a teacher starts a new school year, they begin strict
laying out all the ground rules and expectations
“This is what I expect from you, and if you don’t meet these expectations, there will be consequences”
As the school year progresses and students comply with the rules, the teacher can become less strict.
If, on the other hand, the teacher starts off lenient, by the middle of the school year,
you will end up with chaos as rules are less likely to be followed.

The Old Testament really broke me down.
I visually got to experienced firsthand the disobedience of the Jews and the consequences
of their actions vs obedience and blessings.
God’s grace and patience with the Jews were both humbling and eye-opening.
The devastating results of turning away from Him, and the incredible mercy and forgiveness He continually offered.
Faith, failure, and repentance helped me understand the depth of God’s love and the importance of obedience in my own life.
Though the lives of the Jews, they showed me that even when I fall, God’s grace is always available,
ready to guide me back to His path if I was willing to return to Him. That does not always mean that
I will not face my consequence of my action vs God might give me grace and withhold consequences.
The incredible love God had for His chosen people and the incredible love He has for all of us who call on Him.
Agape love is an unconditional love from God who loves us so deeply that He corrects us when necessary.
His corrections are acts of love, guiding us towards our best selves and helping us grow in faith and righteousness.

Job 5:17“Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.”

My eyes became open that I was dragging Jesus around with me
instead of following Him
For His plan is better than mine
Without Him, my life is pointless

Maturing in my walk with the Lord doesn’t mean an easy life.
Life is still going to be life
Satan is now going to attack harder and harder he is definitely attacking me
but this time, it is different.
This time, I am placing my trust in the Lord instead of relying on myself. God now fights my battles.
Once I do my part, yes, we each have our own roles in our struggle, we can’t just pray for God to fix our situation,
we have to work on what we can control then rely on God for the things beyond our ability.
It requires faith and teamwork—we are partners in this journey. While it’s not easy,
I am learning to let go and not stress during these hard seasons knowing that I have done my part.

Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Now what do I do?
It’s time to get on fire for Jesus and stay on fire and not let your fire smolder
Get Lit, Stay Lit and Spread it–and not burn out.
The Fire Triangle- Heat, Fuel and Oxygen
Remove any one of these and the fire goes out.
We all know that fire needs fuel and oxygen to burn
This idea can also be applied to Christian faith to help keep our
spiritual life vibrant and growing.

Hebrews 12:29 – “For our God is a consuming fire.”

HEAT– is our relationship with God
FUEL- His word
We need to get into His word and know what His word says
Fuel is what feeds a fire, allowing it to burn
The bible serves as our main source of fuel along with many additional resources.
I highly recommend finding a good online bible study to help you understand scripture
and get into His word daily.
Just as fuel keeps a fire going, it strengthens our faith
OXYGEN – sharing His word
Sharing with others what God is doing in our lives keeps the fire alive and growing, spreading to others.
We are the oxygen that makes the fire spread and we all know how fast a wildfire can spread.
When God does something in your life and you talk about it, we have no idea how many lives we impact by sharing our story,
It’s the ripple effect of our obedience.
we could be somebody else’s miracle on the other side of our obedience.

it is our job to keep our own fire burning.
How’s your fire doing?
Is your fire just smoldering, small flame to a huge fire?

My fire was smoldering for far too long, and I don’t recommend it.
Life is not fulfilling when it’s stagnant.
Trying to do life without God simply doesn’t work. It’s stressful

I encourage us all today-
Let’s add fuel to our fire, fuel your soul with His Word, and let the oxygen of sharing His message keep your faith burning brightly.
When we allow God to be the source of our fire and actively share Him with others, you’ll experience a a great transformation.
Your life will be filled with purpose, joy, and a sense of direction that only He can provide.
Don’t let your fire smolder—let be a part of the wildfire and spread
right now is the right time so don’t delay
Get Lit, Stay Lit, Spread It

Dear Heaven Father
I pray for opening of hearts and let the holy spirit guide us
I pray for those who have a smoldering fire that You come and
gently blow on it and reignite our flame.
As our fire burns stronger and brighter, we are drawn
closer to You and our relationship gets stronger along
with our faith.
When we become stagnate, it just
allows satan to easier access to our heart.
I pray Lord for spiritual awaken, wake us all up
so we can
Get Lit, Stay Lit, Spread Your goodness
In Jesus’ name I pray
Amen

Come join me today as we first change ourselves to change the world
around us.
