Where do I even start but from the beginning
Genisis 1:1
in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
so far, this is easy to understand but it soon gets more challenging to understand
what I am reading in the bible.
I decided to seek out YouTube for help.
The Bible Project

Animated cartoon summaries of the books of the bible, beginning with Genesis I watched this video and found it quite impressive. Following this, I completed reading the entire book of Genesis.
This was a big help into understanding what I am reading
Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy ,Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Samual
at times, I would get on my treadmill and watch these video on my iphone.
I was unaware of how incredible this story, the bible, was becoming, and each morning, I eagerly looked forward to sitting down with my coffee to read further.
Titus,Philemon ,Hebrews, James, Peter, 1-3 John, Jude, Revelations
I completed reading the entire Bible! Typically, reading books isn’t high on my priority list, as I tend to prefer short stories. The Bible captivated me in an extraordinary way. Motivated to explore deeper to gain more of an understanding, I once again turned to YouTube for further insight.

By-Dr. Randall Smith
When it comes to Dr. Randall Smith’s YouTube channel, it’s hard to know where to begin given the extensive range of videos. However, after some exploration, the “Life of Abraham” particularly caught my eye. It seems that this is the point where I feel God is guiding me to begin
Life of Abraham, Pt. 1 (GCBI 102.07) – YouTube
Captivated by Abraham’s story, I was naturally led to explore the stories of his descendants
Ishmael and Isaac, Pt. 1 (GCBI 102.09) (youtube.com)
Life of Joseph, Pt.1 (GCBI 102.11) (youtube.com)
Through Dr. Randall Smith’s teachings, I felt a deep connection with him and how the Holy Spirit is speaking to me. It was during this time that I came to understand the concept of being a ‘Mature Believer
…Spiritually Mature
The journey towards Spiritual Maturity involves a process of becoming more like Jesus, an ongoing transformation that is guided by the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual maturity is not just about increasing knowledge but also about reordering one’s priorities from pleasing oneself to pleasing God and learning to obey Him….Obedience
A self-lead life to a God-lead life
The Ten Commandments
Exodus 20:4-5 You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them for, I the Lord God, am a jealous God
This commandment includes a broader interpretation of idolatry, extending beyond physical idols to anything that might take precedence over God in one’s life. This can include modern-day “idols” like material possessions, personal achievements, or any other entity that supersedes the place of God in a person’s heart and life.
Dr. Randall Smith’s insights truly opened my eyes. It made me stop and earnestly pray, seeking God’s guidance to reveal what may be overshadowing His presence in my life
Although the specifics will vary for each individual, I encourage you to examine your heart.
Consider what aspects or things in your life are being prioritized above God
