Interactive Lesson #16-I Love Black Bear Diner

Welcome Friends,
Thank You for stopping by
Before I start sharing what I have been learning though my bible studies,
I want to tell you about this amazing restaurant in my hometown.
Black Bear Diner- There food is amazing along with huge portions for a great price.
A few years ago, for Thanksgiving, I ordered three meals for our dinner.
turkey dinner, ham dinner and prime dinner with all the fixing and we all shared it.
I am hooked, I am never going to cook for Thanksgiving or Christmas again.
Yes..It was that good. Just look at these delicious dinners. Doesn’t it make your mouth water?

Ok enough with the rant and rave of Black Bear Diner and on with what I have been learning
Let’s have a talk about spreading the gospel.

Mark 16:15-“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Jesus is instructing his disciples to go out into the world and spread His teachings to all creation.
Jesus is preparing His followers to carry on His mission of spreading the message of salvation
and the Kingdom of God to every corner of the earth.

The responsibility of all believers is to share the message of Jesus with others,
Yes I know, like many Christians, I had that same reaction. I don’t feel comfortable
talking about Christ, I don’t know that much, what do I say, what if they reject what I say.

If Jesus is the best gift that you have ever experienced, why not tell everyone
Just like I shared how excited I was to tell you about Black Bear Diner
I was evangelizing for that restaurant
shouldn’t we have that same excitement when it comes to Jesus

An easy way to evangelize for the Lord is by
showing people what it looks like to be in a relationship with Jesus.

I share my personal stories, my personal experiences, my personal blessings.
Just the other day, I had my yearly doctor’s exam and the nurse asked me if I was ready
for Christmas. There is my opportunity to share Christ.
I told her- yes I was ready as I don’t do anything. I don’t buy gifts but instead
we enjoy family time together and remember the true meaning Christmas–
Jesus and not the other things tied to it.
easy peasy- I am evangelizing

I was at the store talking with an employee and out of the blue
she was telling me that she helps take care of her brother as he needs 24/7
supervision. There’s my opportunity to share Christ.
I told her that I had been a caregiver for my autistic grandson for 14 yrs and this isn’t a job for
everyone and that God had given us both a special gift of caregiving and I told
her how special we both were that God gave us that gift.
I am evangelizing and sharing the gospel

For 14 cherished years, I had the honor of caring for my special needs grandson, Shawn.
Every opportunity I get, I would share how Shawn is/has been a blessing in my life
as through Shawn, God has taught me lessons in patience and take time in life to stop and
smell the roses.
This is not just a saying but a true story, Shawn would literally stop and smell
flowers, fake or real, everywhere we went. It would be a good 5 min wait till we could move on.
I am sharing the gospel and when you share your own personal experiences,
people can’t dispute it or say I am wrong as it is my personal story.

We are all equal in worth and significance, but we each have unique callings and purposes.
Even the unique one like Shawn, they can share the gospel as well.
Shawn spread the gospel through hugs. A long deep heartfelt hug.
His love was unconditional, and he didn’t care who you are or what you are
Your getting a hug
Let me explain the “what you are” he would even hug the mannequins in the store lol
animals, Santa, Easter Bunny, scary villains
God gave Shawn the unique gift of what true unconditional love is.
He touched lives

Psalm 145:9 “The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

When we keep the wonderful things God is doing in our lives to ourselves, we miss an opportunity to grow and bless others.
Sharing our stories can inspire and encourage those around us.
It’s a beautiful part of how we participate in expanding God’s kingdom and building one another up
It is all of us working together as a team

As Christmas approaches and we are gathered around family
I invite everyone to share a blessing of what God has done in your life
share a story of your own personal journey.
How did you come to believe in Jesus?
What keeps your passion for Jesus alive and strong?
If you’ve ever pulled away, what brought you back?
How is God working in your life?

Romans 12:6-8 “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously;
if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully

We all know how to rant and rave about things that excite us
our favorite restaurant, favorite cars, favorite tv shows, our kids and grandkids, our pets
We naturally share what excites us and brings us happiness.

I just want to encourage you all to be on the lookout for
opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus
Let’s focus on building the Kingdom of God
Your story could be that encouragement and inspiration for others
Your story might touch someone else’s heart

Heavenly Father
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude.
Thank You for the abundance of blessings You have given me.
All that I have in my life is a result of Your grace, which I am deeply grateful.
Thank You for you one and only son that who so ever believes in Him will
have eternal life. My story is for Your glory and grateful for the opportunities
to share the gospel
Amen
