Interactive Lesson #12-Share Your Story-Shine Your Candle

Welcome Friends,
With so much negativity and the decline of moral values on social media nowadays,
as seen in complaints, negative comments, provocative photos, drinking parties, bullying, profanity,
inappropriate cartoons ect…
As followers of the Lord, we have a choice to make.
We can contribute to the darkness or honor the Lord through these platform

I had someone tell me that I need to quite sharing Jesus on my Facebook page as it scares people away.
I remember a song that I would sing as a child in my Sunday school class.

“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine”

Hide it under a bushel-NO!
I’m gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bushel-NO!
I’m gonna let it shine

Am I going to stop sharing Jesus on my Facebook?
Heck No!
I gonna let Him shine and not hide Him under a bushel.
but I have to admit, I “was” one of those people contributing to the darkness
Ahhhh satan’s way to keep my mind on him by constantly throwing obstacles and temptations in my path to keep me from focusing on God

Your scrolling though social media and your eyes can’t help but stop on that negative post,
and you just can’t resist to post your own negative thoughts.
keep on scrolling, don’t look, don’t read.
I refuse to let satan win.

You’re sitting in traffic that is all backed up, your frustrated so you pull out your phone and post your complaint on Facebook.
Instead of complaining, say a little prayer as there might be an accident up ahead that you can’t see.
I refuse to let satan win

Your child, spouse, friend, or a stranger upset you-it’s only natural for you vent about it on social media
as that is what everyone else is doing. I love all those supportive negative comments back,
keep them coming.
Instead, let’s go to the Lord in prayer. Give Him your thoughts and struggles.
I refuse to let satan win

Romans 10:13-15:
“For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?
And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach unless they are sent?

As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
who bring glad tidings of good things!’

One way believers can help unbelievers see the goodness of the Lord is through our personal stories.
Our focus should be to help unbelievers find Jesus.
Let’s shine our light on Facebook and other social media sites.

My live fell apart, I was at the lowest point in life.
Looking back-
I now understand that no matter what goes wrong in my life,
that it.. doesn’t matter what goes wrong in my life,
that it…it doesn’t matter if everything falls apart,
that it… doesn’t matter if it isn’t working well,
I know that the Lord is working behind the scenes for the good.
It doesn’t’ mean that I won’t get hurt by what happens,

God gave me an incredible story to share.
God had to break me down in order to build me back up.
God got ahold of my heart, I started to take Him seriously,
I genuinely laid down my heart to Him.
Now I am ready to do what God is telling me to do.
He has changed my life and now he can truly me as His vessel, as I rededicated my life to Him.
He has full authority over my life as He is the author and creator of my life.
I obediently follow Him and I do what He asks of me.

Any way that I can wake others up and see how satan is deceiving us in our relationships,
I am going to do so. Satan has deceived me and others long enough.
I am a soldier for the Lord, not satan.
I am not going to stop posting about Jesus,

God is my rock, my stability and I have faith in Him and His plan for my life and I will rejoice in Him in the good days and rejoice in Him in the bad days

I invite you to join me in shining your light.
Together, we can make a small but meaningful change today.
Never be afraid of sharing your story,
Never hide it under a bushel, for this little light of mine, for I’m gonna let it shine

Dear Heaven Father
Thank You for your goodness and kindness.
Though our difficult trials and challenges, please help us find the strength
that we need to endure the storm by staying calm and by putting our trust in You
as I know you have a wonderful plan for my life that we may not see nor understand,
I pray Lord that when I genuinely start seeking You, that you will give me a new heart.
A new heart that shifts the focus from me myself and I
to a heart shifted to You and giving You all the glory.
I pray Lord for Your help to make us aware of how we are using social media platforms.
Are we using it to honor You or to honor satan?
We all have a story to tell though our trials, let us be open to share our
difficult trails with other so that they may see Your glory in our story.
in Jesus name I pray
Amen
