Welcome, Friends,
Thank you for joining me today on this journey of learning and growth.
Every day presents a new opportunity to wake up and create change within ourselves.
It’s our willingness to search within our hearts that I pray for all of us today.
Thank you for walking this path with me. I encourage you to stand strong alongside with me
standing firm against the enemy’s schemes.
The most meaningful way to honor the Lord is through personal transformation.
Let’s resist the enemy by changing ourselves so we can change our circumstances.
Today, I would like to discuss God’s warnings, the trials He gives us and the struggles we face in life.
When God leads us through tough seasons, it is His way of warning us and to strengthening us.
As believers, He has built a protective barrier around us. When we sin or follow the ways of the world, we cross this barrier. God allows this to happen to help us grow spiritually,
He may do this by allowing chaos in our lives-known as seasons-the winter season.
He takes us though seasons- on purpose- for a purpose- with purpose–don’t ignore them
This is when the enemy sneaks in-
He wants us to brush our chaos under the rug and if we wait long enough, we will eventually forget.
The enemy will do anything to distract us from spiritually growing.
Satan’s devious tactic of trying to get us to ignore God’s warning
Instead of ignoring…. we need to pray and self-evaluate.
We need to refocus our heart and mind and start asking God these questions:
1. God-what are You trying to show me
2. God-what are you trying to tell me
3. God-what changes do You need to make in me
James 1:2-4
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
Do we genuinely embrace this verse and take it to heart?
Do we really understand that trials are God’s way of spiritually maturing us?
Do we really understand that trials are not to be ignores?
The greatest way to honor God is by welcoming change

Another one of his devious tactics is silence–refusing to communicate.
Phrases like “Let’s not bring up the past, I forgive you, and let’s just move on”
This silence creates barriers that prevent us from:
1. Acknowledging our wrongdoing
2. Gaining personal growth and spiritual maturity
3. Making meaningful changes
Silence only deprives us of acknowledging our wrongdoing
Spiritual growth often requires repentance, which begins with acknowledging and admitting our mistakes.
It is through this acknowledgment that we refine our character, and by continually refining our character, we achieve spiritual growth.
By remaining silent, we hinder our growth and the growth of those around us.
When we choose to stay quiet, we may miss the chance to serve as a tool for God’s correction,
which is necessary for our own spiritual journey
Stand strong with me today and let us choose communication over silence
Let us choose spiritual growth and not hindered growth
Let us not ignore the chaos in our lives but embrace our trials and self-reflect and ask God, what are you trying to tell me though my storm. What are You wanting me to change about myself.
I am here Lord and I am choosing to listen to You today. As I examine my heart, reveal to me what you are trying to tell me so I have that opportunity to change… Amen
Let’s honor God today by choosing to change
Colossians 3:10 (NIV):
“And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
