Behind the Scenes-Queen Athaliah

Season 3, Episode 3,
Last night, while watching The Chosen, it brought tears to my eyes as John the Baptist was beheaded.
If you have not heard about The Chosen, I highly recommend it as I have watched each episode many times now.
The impact this show has had on my life, bringing the Bible to light, has been remarkable. It has been an emotional rollercoaster, deeply touching not only my heart but the hearts of many others who have also watched the show.

Even a few actors from The Chosen, have their own personal testimony

2 Kings 11
In my morning bible study of Athaliah, a notoriously evil woman, and how God is at work behind the scenes right under the nose of the enemy.

Athaliah’s son- Ahaziah, the king of Judah was assassinated
In her quest to secure her power, she ordered the killing of all the royal offspring of the house of David in Judah. This included her own grandchildren and potential heirs to the throne.
However, one child, Joash, was rescued and hidden in the temple of the Lord for six years.
Joash’s aunt, Jehosheba, and her husband, the high priest Jehoiada, hid him in the temple to protect him from Athaliah

Athaliah doesn’t know that there is an opposing person still alive and thinks she has killed off all the rivals and she alone will be queen.

Her act was directly against God’s plan to preserve the Lineage of David, from which the Messiah would come. God had promised David that his descendants would sit on the throne of Israel forever.

Satan is trying to keep someone from the line from sitting on throne.
Satan thinks he can out play God. God is moving in more people than we can see.
God places people in key places, people that you would of never suspect and never of stood out.
The quiet people of God. God is always at work backstage.

Six years in hiding, at the age of seven, Joash was crowned king of Judah, and Athaliah was overthrown and executed.

This is a remarkable story about how God is always working in the background of our lives,

Looking back on my life, I can clearly see how God set up the stage in my own life to drawn me closer to Him. To give Him my full heart and not just a fraction on my heart,
The events that took place, the people he brought and removed from my life, my family that was called home to be with the Lord.
This being the darkest moment of my life, I can truly see how it was all necessary. The precise set of events and the perfect timing… everything brought together so perfectly.

My life is so much more fulfilling now that I have given God my whole heart.
I live everyday with joy in my heart. Even on days that I am not quite up to par.
I wake up every morning excited to have another day here on earth to worship the Lord and ready to do whatever he has planned for me today.
He is setting up the stage involving us all in His divine plan for someone else’s life.

Philippians 2:10-11
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Just like testimonies from the cast of The Chosen
I too want to share and my testimony. I am blessed and thankful for God working behind the stage in my life.

Whether in moments of joy or seasons of struggle,
His divine plan ensures that everything falls into place according to His perfect timing.
Even when we cannot see His movements or understand His ways, we can rest in the assurance that every detail is part of His perfect plan. May we embrace this truth, surrendering our fears and uncertainties, and step forward with faith, knowing that God’s unseen work is always for our ultimate good and His eternal glory.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
